Configuration Sync

Configuration Synchronization allows you to maintain some types of configuration data in text files on a system that is separate from your Email Appliance. You can then sync that data to the Email Appliance via SCP to update your configuration. The types of information you can maintain through Configuration Sync include:
  • Internal Hosts
  • Trusted Relays
  • Recipient Validation
  • Recipient Aliases
  • Rewrite Senders
  • Rewrite Recipients
  • Mail Routing

The Email Appliance supports both OpenSSH and PEM public keys. Once you have generated and uploaded your public key, you can use use a command line SCP utility to sync lists and configuration files of the above-listed data to your appliance over port 1232. For more information about SSH, SCP and generating public keys, please visit the OpenSSH project web site.
