Limited Release
Version 3.9.0.0 was released to an initial group of customers on July 6th, 2015. This
release will be made available to all customers over the next few weeks. If you would like
to get early access to new features, please contact Sophos Support.
When this update is installed, the Email Appliance will reboot.

This release adds features that support the appliance's Delay Queue.

You should also familiarize yourself with the known issues, since improper
configuration of certain options may cause unexpected behavior.
Before you begin installing and configuring the Email Appliance, you should review the configuration directions.
Internet Explorer 7 and later, and Mozilla Firefox version 4.x and later, are the only
supported browsers for this product release. However, the Email Appliance has been optimized for current-generation browsers. If you
are using an older browser such as Internet Explorer 6 and experience performance issues,
consider upgrading to a newer version of Internet Explorer, or to a recent version of
Firefox.

Release.
- The Delay Queue now can be configured by administrators, and
several search and reporting features have been added to support it. The Delay
Queue is a mail queue that allows suspicious attachments to be held until
new threat definitions have been received.
- The appliance has been updated to address CVE-2015-4000 (Logjam).

- The Find function in theEdit Policy Rule
dialog is no longer case-sensitive. Searches now correspond to the case-insensitive nature
of policy rules (SEA-171).
- Logging has been clarified for block lists configured on the . Messages blocked by policy are no longer logged as having been blocked due
to genotype filtering (SEA-166).
- An issue has been resolved that could cause the delay queue to become excessively large
(SEA-191).
- An issue has been resolved that could prevent mail log searches from working for certain
time ranges (SEA-175).
- Searching logs for subject lines that contain spaces now works correctly in all cases
(SEA-154).
- Certain Excel (xlsx) files are now correctly scanned by the anti-virus engine
(SEA-134).
- It's now possible to upload recipient validation lists with more than 100,000 entries
(SEA-91).
- The appliance's LDAP system has been updated to improve performance and to resolve an
issue that could, in certain cases, one hundred or more addresses from being pulled during
a query (SEA-82).
- SPX registration and password expiry reminders are now sent correctly (SEA-81).
